Exploration License
Methods of service delivery
Upon receipt of the application by the person/organization, a preliminary inquiry is conducted to ascertain the area applied for the exploration license by the Director himself or through an expert/officer empowered by him/her before forwarding the application to the Government for approval. If approved, it is sent to the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources for government approval. Subject to the approval of the Government, approval is granted by executing an exploration license agreement with the applicant as per the rules.
Required documents:
A) Original copy of treasury invoice for payment of application fee;
B) 5 (five) copies of mouza map/sketch plan for an area not exceeding 200 (two hundred) hectares and if the area is more than 200 (two hundred) hectares then only the topographic sheet/LGED map of the survey department (scale-1: 50,000), sketch plan showing the applied area, latitude, longitude prepared to be;
C) Schedule of applied land with owner's name;
D) 3 (three) passport size photographs attested by the Gazetted Officer of the applicant / director / partners in case of local applicant;
E) Certificate of Nationality and Citizenship of the applicant / director / partner in case of local applicant and authentic copy of their valid passport in case of foreign company;
F) Certificate of Bank Solvency, Trade License and TIN Certificate in case of local applicant;
G) In case of foreign company 2 (two) copies of union memorandum and union rules and prospectus or partnership document or any legal certificate of equivalent;
J) Certificate of registration of company in Bangladesh in case of foreign company.
