Open tenders are invited by the district committee for leasing of silica sand, common stone / sand mixed stone quarries in the gazetted or government khas ledgered for the next 2 (two) years from 1st Baishakh as per the rules. The tenders received after inviting tenders are sent to the Bureau of Mineral Resources Development (BMD) for recommendation of lease in favor of the highest bidder after scrutiny by the District Leasing Committee. The BMD forwarded the recommendation to the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources for government approval. If the lease is approved, a letter is sent to the highest bidder to submit the full lease price, VAT and income tax and security deposit amount as per rules within 15 (fifteen) days by invoice in the specified code. Lease grant and work order are issued by executing the lease agreement to the lessee subject to receipt of full lease price and other government dues from the highest bidder in advance as per the rules.
